Colin Herring Daddy Long Legs

Has been seen all over Australia and Pacific Islands.

Colin Herring inherited this name from the original Daddy Long Legs.

Alecs Jurman was 'Daddy' from 1954 to around 1986. He became a living legend in Victoria walking in over 30 Moomba parades from 1955.

Colin has continued the tradition and has appeared as Daddy Long Legs since 1987.

Featured at the Salisbury Parade since 2000 and the Norwood Parade since 2007. A crowd favourite as a truly spectacular addition to any event.

For a guaranteed WOW factor.

Fully insured by Duck for Cover (member 5433), Daddy Long Legs appears regularly at Agricultural Shows, Festivals and Parades.

Colin proudly continues this tradition with the addition of being trained by Peter Schuman's Bread and Puppet theatre as a puppeteer in 1978 (Adelaide Festival), learning to animate the characters on stilts.

Safe and funny - always engaging the audience.
